The book I have chose to review is  The One, a dystopian novel written by Kiera Cass. She also wrote The Selection, The Elite and is working on a new novel The Queen. The One is the last book in The Selection Trilogy.  America Singer is so close to winning The Selection, and winning Maxons heart. The northern and Southern rebels are moving in and are doing everything to try to delay The Selection. Luckily, America isn't afraid to fight for what she wants.

I love how this book has a strong female character. Usually, some authors portray women as weak Then came along Katniss, then Tris and now America. Don't be fooled by this book. It's not one of those typical princess and prince book. It has much more action to it. One thing I didn't like about this book is how it was really geared toward females. The Hunger Games does have romance in it but it has an abundance amount of action. In The One the book surrounds Maxons and America's relationship and how the rebels are closing in on the castle. I felt that Kiera Cass should have added more action to it to make it geared toward both genders. They are not that many boys out there who love a good romance novel.

I recommend this book to people who love dystopian novels. I don't recommend this for people who dislike corny love stories. If you are a fan of The Hunger Games or Divergent then you should start reading this trilogy. You can find all three books at Barnes and Noble or at Nashua High School South Library.
