This is not a Writing Manual

"By Mariah P.
"Parks and Recreation" actress, Amy Poehler recently released her comedic autobiography, "Yes Please." "Yes Please" gives a hilarious portrayal of the inner workings of Poehler's mind through lists, haiku, thoughts and stories. The autobiography is chock full of advice, and gives helpful tips and real-life advice on life, love sex, parenthood and friendship.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Yes Please," as it gave a very candid and tasteful approach to many juicy issues, and several personal stories. Poehler's book was highly anticipated both by myself and her fan base, and it did not disappoint. As is Poehler, her memoir was witty, funny and full of wise words.
I would recommend "Yes Please" to anyone looking for a funny non-fiction read, as well as anyone in need of an unofficial self-help book. "Yes Please" captures a very real way to look at life, and would be a highly beneficial read to many, including teenagers, young adults and anyone older looking for a fun but insightful book.
