Review of The Burn Journals

By Alex T.
The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon, is a fantastic book. It's a true story about Brent and his suicide attempt. Along with his long recovery in the hospital. I would recommend this book for high school and up.

After getting in trouble at school, Brent tries to kill him by burning himself to death but right when he does it he regrets it. During the long recovery he meets many great people and learns that there's more to live for. His family and friends are there along the way to help him get better. After many surgeries and lots of pain, Brent does in fact get better.

Brent Runyon can be an inspiration for many people. He is an amazing writing and this book proves that. Anyone with depression can understand and enjoy this book. I believe teachers should be teaching this in high school.
