Pretty Little Liars

By Someone Who Did Not Include Her/His Name

Parents need to know that the teens on this series based on the Harper Teen Novels of the same name engage in lots of naughty behavior like theft, defying parent's rules, breaking and entering a general cattiness. The Story centers on an intense, ongoing incident of bullying by an unidentified person who threatens to reveal damaging secrets about her victim's private loves. Now I don't know about you but this to me sounds like a ghost or maybe like a stalker and things like those are very interesting to read about but for me it just made me feel concern or maybe afraid of what would happen if that were or was happening to me. Now this book series contains not only bullying but also teen sexuality including a main character's homosexuality and a teen's sexual relationship with her high school teacher. Makes for intense physical encounters that stop just before the act itself. "I'll give those props to the books for that."

Son Of Sobek Crossover Gold

by Evan K.

A book crossover like this happens once, maybe every lifetime.

This book stars Carter Kane a kid that is descended from the ancient pharaohs and now takes on his role as a teacher of magicians in the 14th Nome. He is one of the stars in a series titled the Kane Chronicles written by Rick Riordan. Next to him however we have possibly a bigger star than that in this book. Introducing  Percy Jackson, a Greek Demigod that is the son of Poseidon and stars in his own book series The Heroes Of Olympus written by Rick Riordan. I'm guessing that you guys can tell who wrote this book as well.

A Look at Stones

By Rebecca H.

I had been an avid YouTube surfer for years, subscribed to several famous ones. I watch their videos religiously. One of my favorites is Onision; a vlogger and comedian. When I'd heard the news that he'd self-published a novel, Stones to Abbigale, I spent ten dollars on the book on Amazon. Unfortunately, I'll never get those ten dollars back. Onision, born as Gregory Jackson, wrote the book in the perspective of James. The story is about a better version of Gregory and was based off of actual events in his life, such as losing a best friend, finding his first love, and having a mother with several boyfriends.

Why Didn't I Read This Sooner?

by Samantha C.

You May have heard of Sarah J. Maas, New York Times bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series, as well as A Court of Thorns and Roses (which debuted at number two on the New York Times bestseller list). You may have heard of Susan Dennard, author of theSomething Strange and Deadly series. You may even know that the two are best friends. But what you probably don't know is that the two are cowriting a story online: The Starkillers Cycle. To use their own words, it is "perfect for fans of epci sci-fi and steamy romance, THE STARKILLERS CYCLE is a seralized space opera set in a diverse and cutthroat galaxy. From an escaped convict with blood on her hands to a society girl turned fighter pilot, follow a sweeping cast of characters as they learn the galaxy is a far bigger - and more terrifying - place than they ever imagined."

Sarah J. Maas Does It Again

       By Samantha C.
A Court of Thorns and Roses is the first book in a new trilogy by the same name from Sarah J. Maas, the New York Times bestselling author of the Throne of Glass series (The Assassin's Blade: The Throne of Glass Novellas, Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, and the upcoming Queen of Shadows). A Court of Thorns and Roses (or ACOTAR, as it is sometimes referred to as) shows that not only can Sarah J. Maas write two book series' at once, she excels at it. A retelling of the classic story Beauty and the Beast, ACOTAR follows nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre (pronounced Fay-ruh) as she struggles to fulfill a promise she made to her mother, despite the consequences her actions may have. Filled with magic, Faery High Lords, and one stubborn human girl, this book will keep you guessing until the very last page. A Court of Thorns and Roses not only lived up to all of the pre-release hype, it surpassed it. This book has everything a person can expect from a Sarah J. Maas novel: magic, faeries, a strong-willed female protagonist, and a lot of heartache.

Ten Little Soldier Boys and a Case of Unsolvable Murder

                                                                By Megan V.

And Then There Were None, previously titled Ten Little Indians, by Agatha Christie is a suspenseful and dark mystery novel that truly grabs its reader and draws them into its web. The story features ten individuals and their time on Soldier Island, a small secluded island just off the coast. This island had a complex past, previously the home of a wealthy landowner who was a fan of large lavish parties. When these ten strangers were invited by a mysterious U. N. Owen, later recognized to be the name "Unknown," they were not surprised, believing it to be an old friend who has now acquired a beautiful vacation spot. Without hesitation they ventured out to the island. The ten soon realized that they were all strangers, peculiar but not impossible. They became confused and somewhat suspicious of their host , and these concerns were validated when that same evening they were given a fright. A gramophone record. This record was full of accusations, one for each guest relating to a dreadful murder that they had committed. They soon realized that all of their letters indicated that the invitation was from different people. They had all been mislead by U. N. Owen, the clear orchestrator of the entire "prank." It was soon after however, that one of the guests dropped dead. This was met with shock and horror. A poisoned drink, clearly a suicide. It certainly couldn't have been a murder, after all they had all denied the accusations.

The Fault in Our Stars: Book Review

By Victoria S.

The Fault in Our Stars is a novel that is filled with emotions that often bring either tears or smiles to the face of the readers. It is a book that is not afraid to allow the reader to see the gloomy part of life along with the happy side, after all isn't that what real life is made of? The author, John Green, knows how to write a story that acts upon the feelings of his audience, in both a positive and a negative way.  Early in his life he worked as a publishing assistant and production editor for a firm in Chicago.  While there he wrote his first book, Looking for Alaska. Since then he has written An Abundance of Katherines, Let It Snow (with coauthors: Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle), Paper Towns, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson, (with coauthor David Levithan) (Lit Lovers, 2015).   He has achieved several awards such as the Michael L. Printz Award Honor Book in 2006 and again in 2007. He also won the Edgar Award for Best Young Adult Novel; The Corine Literature Prize, and he made the New York Times Best Seller list as a number one author for The Fault in Our Stars (Lit Lovers, 2015). Green is also a "vlogger" with his brother Hank of the video blog, Brotherhood (Lit Lovers, 2015).  Currently he lives in Indiana with his wife, Sarah, son, Henry, and a dog.  The dog is called Willy; however, his full name shows us some of Green's humor as it is Fireball Wilson Roberts (Lit Lovers, 2015).
