Microstyle: The Art Of Writing Little

Microstyle: The Art Of Writing Little
By Jared V.

Microstyle: The Art Of Writing Little was written by Christopher Johnson and was published July 25 2011. It's all about how to write little sentences and messages that will stand out and grab people's attention, examples of this would be headlines, titles, brand names, slogans, company mantras, and even signatures. The author of this is a blogger and a verbal branding consultant from Seattle Washington. He has not written any other books but does have a blog where he talks about subjects from this book.

If i had to be totally honest I would say that this was not one of my favorite books to read. The reason for this being not what the book is about but how they explain what it's about. I like the concept of how companies make their slogans and titles but it seemed like there was a lot of times in this book when they would start talking about one thing then instantly start on something else. They would talk about social media and how people talk on it, but after one sentence they would talk about slogans and how they get peoples attention. I did like some of the facts and when they explained why short sentences capture people's attention. But other than that this book seemed to just talk about too many things at one time.

I cannot say that a lot of people wouldn't enjoy this book but I think that only a specific amount of readers would enjoy this book. so if you're interested in business slogans and the signs on billboards this is the book for you but if you want something to read just because, I would not recommend it.
