A New Type of Adventure

By Alexie D

Paper Towns by John Green is the story of a girl who loves adventure, but maybe a little bit too much. Quentin and Margo are seniors in high school who never really talk even though they live across the street from one another. When they finally end up talking they go on a crazy adventure and at the end of it they go back to the way they were before, except something major happens this time.

This book is mystery and suspense but also is young adult fiction. John Green is also the author of many amazing books. He wrote The Fault in our Stars which was a number one New York Times bestsellers and was made into a movie, and An Abundance of Katherines which in 2007 was a Michael L. Printz Honor book and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
I absolutely loved reading Paper Towns. This book had so many twists and turns that kept you interested with it, whether it was with new characters or a whole new plot. This story makes you want to keep reading because you want to know the ending. It brings you on a journey and you feel like you are with the characters trying to figure out the mystery as well. I would read this book over and over again.
I definitely recommend this book for people who like mysteries and suspense. This book is not like normal mystery books, this book takes you also into the life of a  high schooler and their friends and what can go on. If you want to read an amazing story that is accurate about high school like and brings you on a crazy mystery the book is the one. Paper Towns is absolutely amazing.
You can find this book at almost any bookstore as it is still widely popular now, compared to when it had first come out in 2008.
