"Homer's Odyssey" written by a cat owner named Gwen Cooper. Don't let the beginning fool you. It's not just about a crazy cat lady with no love life, in fact it's much more. It teaches you important life lessons.
Homer was an abandoned three-week old, blind kitten. Gwen Cooper already had two cats until one day her veterinarian called and told her about this kitten. She ended up with the abandoned, blind kitten. In this book it tells about Homer's adventures. One of those adventures being trapped in an apartment next to the World Trade Center after 9/11. Also you can read in this book the story of how this loyal blind cat kept his family safe from an unwanted intruder. Gwen learnt an important lesson from Homer: "Love isn't something you see with your eyes." -Gwen Cooper.
I recommend this book to anyone who needs a little bit of hope and faith. This novel will take you on an emotional roller coaster but it's definitely worth the ride.
