This book review has a horrid title

By Alli D.
This book is about a girl named Star Girl who starts at new high school in a small town. When she first arrives at the school her name her name is talked about all through the halls. The boys in the school immediately notice her and the girls are all jealous of her. For a boy named Leo it's a mixture of fear and excitement that has him falling in love with Star Girl. He wants to see her on the Hot Seat in the in school television show he runs with his best friend named Kevin. Star Girl becomes extremely popular, she has a lot of friends and joins the cheerleading team. While she wants to bring happiness to everyone including not just her home team, she becomes not so popular anymore. The same girl who everyone loved is now frowned upon by almost everyone in the school, except for Leo who is in love with Star Girl and she loves him back. Leo gets forced to choose between his love for Star Girl and or all his classmates and with the choice of one person verses the whole school, he's not so sure what the right decision is.

I would recommend this book to all teen readers. I would recommend it because the lesson in it is strong. The lesson is sometimes you have to go against the crowd to make yourself happy. Also sometimes it's not so easy to fit in when everyone around you dislikes someone you love. It was a very good book I thought and it was great on teaching you that it's okay to be different.
