White Fang is a book about a wolf. The book starts out with two men in the middle of the woods during the winter. They are dog sledding from one town to another. The men encounter the wolves as they pick off their dogs one by one. One man is surrounded and eaten. The other is rescued by some people sledding by. The wolves are barely surviving because of a famine. The she-wolf has babies and only one survives. The dogs are picked up by the she-wolfs master. The she-wolf is sold and the baby is alone. The baby grows up and is turned into a fighter. He fights other dogs until he meets his match. He is only saved by a man named Scott. Scott takes the dog back home and he lives happily ever after.
