Keep Your Fingers Crossed

By Emily G.

The book I'm reading is called Criss Cross by Lynne Rae Perkins. This book is about a girl who lives in a very small town. In the beginning of the book there is a girl who is always wishing for the better. She always thinks that something better can happen. She kept wishing for something to happen. Not much happens in this book but it is really interesting to read. Debbie is always borrowing stuff from her sister Chrisanne. When Chrisanne isn't home Debbie borrows her sister’s stuff like clothes, jewelry and stuff. This book is very good to read. I recommend it to teenagers. This book makes it realistic for us teenagers; it makes us see that the grass is really greener on the other side. This book has made me realize that people have life harder and is always wishing for better things.
