A book about a bunch of guys named Will Grayson

A book about a bunch of guys named Will Grayson
By Ashley B

As if life as a teenager wasn't confusing enough, imagine meeting someone with the exact same name as you? That's just the story John Green and David Levithan have brewed up in the book Will Grayson, Will Grayson.

Will Grayson is just an average teenage boy living in Chicago. The only real exciting thing about his life is his best friend, Tiny Cooper, who he describes as "the world's gayest person who is really, really large." However, will grayson (Who never capitalizes anything) is also a teenage boy, who's poor and struggles with depression.
In the book, Tiny is trying to put together a school musical that's focused around his life and being gay. Being his best friend, Will Grayson is obligated (or forced rather) to help. But the story doesn't really kick off until there's a clash of the Grayson's in an adult toy store (It's not as weird as it sounds, trust me) and both of the Grayson's lives are changed forever.
Overall it was a sweet story about love, acceptance and friendship. Having read other John Green books before though, I found Will Grayson, Will Grayson to be rather anti-climatic. Even though I liked the characters, I was sad to see the book end so plainly. But I'll leave you to discover the end of the story for yourself. Even though the plot isn't rather exciting, the characters are what really keep you sucked in. I can assure you that Tiny Cooper is certainly a character you won't forget. He's not the main character, but he really shows you  the kind of people both Will Graysons are and he makes you feel connected to them. Also, the book is written in a way that really appeals to teenagers and young adults, but the language in the book isn't plain enough to bore you. The book really leaves you wanting more.
You should be happy to know that John Green has written other heart-wrenching books though, like The Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska. I was new to David Levithan's writing though, but from what I've read in Will Grayson, Will Grayson I expect his other books to be beautifully written as well. David has written many books, but two of his most popular are Boy Meets Boy and The Lover's Dictionary. All of David Levithan and John Green's books can be found online or at a local bookstore like Barnes and Noble.
If you're looking for a quick, interesting read, you should really look up Will Grayson, Will Grayson.
