The Juvenile Foster Child

By: Cyrus F.

“Wont know till i get there”, what kind of title does that sound like to you? What would you predict the story is about? Well i can tell you that Everyone needs a second chance. This story is interesting and has a very cool and detailing cover. Steve’s parents are looking to adopt a child, they find one that they kind of like. Although he has a criminal record, they think they should give him a second chance. They think he has learned from his actions and has changed. They agree to adopt him. He is a thirteen-year-old colored foster child named Earl Goins that has a criminal record. Who would have ever thought this day would come. A family that sets aside the fact that the child has been in trouble with the law and still wants to adopt him. Since this kid has a bad reputation, Steve wants to show Earl how tough he can be and how hes not scared. So he has a plan, his plan is to spray paint a train cart, but it doesn't turn out so well. They end up getting caught spray painting with a couple of Steve other friends. Earl Steve and their friends end up sitting in juvenile court and then have to face the consequences. The sentence they face is working two months straight in an old-age home with a bunch of feisty, independent, grumpy, lonely senior citizens.
