This book review has a super boring title

By Cameron B.
"A Life of Jesus", by Edgar Goodspeed, is the most truthful, and detailed factual testament to the entire remarkable life of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Goodspeed's incredible resources and quotes from the Old Testament have shattered the myth of the "dark years" of Jesus' boyhood adolescence, and takes the reader back to the beginning of time as we know it, in a way that peaked the interest of even the most destined athiest. From the immaculate birth of Christ, to the finalizing serman on the mount and eventual crucifiction, the author uses the Holy Gospel, some generalization, and the preachings of the tweleve apostles Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, James, Mathew, Simon, Thaddaeus, and Judas to document an accurate biography of the most well-known man who has ever walked on God's green Earth.

First, let me start by saying that this book was not written to the purpose of preaching the Gospel, bringing the belief of God into it, or even describe the resurection of Jesus. It wasan;t written to "spread the good word" of how he walked on water, of turned bread into fish. However, it was written merely to provide information about a man that we do not know much about in his personal life, rather than the miracles he performes as an adult. The Old Testament really only talkes about Jesus in the Imaculate Conception, and picks back up on him when he is about twenty-eight years old, leaving a large gap of lost knowledge to most Christians. Goodspeed has made up for the lost time.
I do not read at all. I think I have read about two books on my own. I wsa being forced to read another book for a review. But when I started really getting into it, it actually became one of the best books I have read. Maybe because I had an interest in the son of God beforehand, but still, it really took me by surprise, and got me excited to turn the pages. Rarely do I get excited to stare at a bunch of paper with words on it for an hour. So if a person who is strongly prejudiced to chapter books, just think of how much a reader would enjoy it.
The only thing I didn't like about the book is that it actually went into too much detail about every single little thing. I mean they could have cut out half the book itself if they didn't go on and on about the same thing. It just seemed like it would bring up a subject, and then go off into a split tangen of something else that I don't care about. Because if you do that then you lose the reader's interest, and he might put down the book for good. For example, it would say something like: Jesus was born in Bethlahem. Bethlahem is in Israel. My cousin's friend is from Israel, he's pretty weird looking. I wonder if he has measured his uno-brow, the thing covers his whole face. I mean how do you even grow one of those things! Has he ever heard of a razor? Oh yeah, I need a new razor. Maybe I should get one of those electric ones. Na, its too much money. Actually I just got my taxes back, sweet! Thank you Jesus!
You should absolutely seek out and read this masterpiece! Even if you don't have faith in God, or if your on the fence, or whatever your beliefs may be, reading this book will change your life, and allow you to better yourself. Regaurdless of belief, researching the most influencial man ever, and trying to live in his footsteps will make you a better husband, father, and contributor to society. However, living through Christ, beliving in God, and repenting will return you to the kingdom of God, and reunite with love of the Holy Spirit. May God bless your soul!
