This book review has a lame title

The fiction story I read was "The Art of Racing in The Rain." It is about an old dog named Enzo and his family of humans. Denny is his owner, he marries a girl named Eve and later they have a kid named Zoe. Enzo is a Golden Retriever and tells his story about his happy life. He thinks when he dies he will be reincarnated into a human being, a man.

Enzo was raised on a farm as a puppy and the farmer was a mean man and the mother dog had no interest in her puppies at all. The man had Enzo's' dew claw pulled off by the vet without any sedation. He bled a lot from getting his nail ripped off. Denny later came by when the dogs were old enough to be sold and he adopted Enoz. He was a funny puppy.

Denny is a race car driver. He has many races he goes to and wins some and loses some. He is a very good guy until his life falls apart all at once. His wife Eve gets ill. Enzo knew for awhile but since he cannot speak he sadly has to watch her suffer and deteriorate slowly. Eve has a brain tumor and it is inoperable. Eve's parents ask Denny if Zoe could stay at their house with Eve while she dies. He said she could and once Eve took her last breathe of air, that's when things got worse for Denny, Zoe, and Enzo.

Denny was driving to a camp with his 15 year old cousin Annika. Denny was tired from the long drive and fell asleep on his bed in sweatpants. Annika took a shower and stood naked watching Denny sleep. Enzo started to bark. Denny was sleeping and was telling her to stop. She stuck her hands down his pants and her breasts in his face. He finally woke up from his deep sleep by Enzo barking and growling and he screamed. He yelled at her to get off and get dressed. She said she thought he liked her by the way he was talking to her in the car. She was mad he didn't feel the same way and had her dad pick her up. Denny was nervous and asked if she said anything and she said she didn't.

After Eve had died her parents said Zoe needs to stay with them because they are experienced with kids and Denny is not. They made him go to court to fight for the rights of his child. Eve's parents had won and refused to let him see Zoe. He could only see her on the weekends. They then found out what Annika did but she said that Denny tried to do things with her. She lied and Denny got thrown into jail. When he got out of jail him and Enzo went on a long walk to the funeral and they refused to let Denny go inside to see his dead wife. Later Enzo gets hit by a car breaking his pelvis. He is getting older and older and having a hard time getting up. He get to the point where he can't live anymore. Denny puts him down and cries. Enzo will forever be missed by Denny, Zoe and more.
