The writer forgot to add an interesting title

By Jissela O.

" The Beautiful Days Of My Youth" by Ana Novac is a story that makes you realize how truly lucky you are and to not take things for granted. It shows you how tough life was for others back then. It also  shows you what other people have  lived through.

In 1940 a young girl named Ana who was only eleven began keeping a journal. Four years later when she was taken to Auschwitz and Plaszow, she used scraps of paper to write down what she saw, felt and thought. Ana Novac wrote in her diary for over a six month period in death camps. Each section is a vision of hell. She scrambled around looking for food, but also trying to find the good in things. She is very determined it make it through even  though she lost her family.

The Beautiful Days Of My Youth  is a good book. I would recommend this book to people who love history and the holocaust. From a scale of 1-10 i would give this book an 9. It's all based on true facts. All of the things that Ana went through are interesting and harsh. It really shows you how hard people's lives were. It makes you realize how truly lucky you are.
