Stay on course with this book

By Lauren R.

Erin Beresini is a motivational writer. Reading her book will make one want to complete a Tough Mudder. She has such a passion for her story and carefully puts it together. "Off Course" is a nonfiction story about a woman's long and tough journey to complete her goal.

Erin begins her story at the point she started running obstacle races. She was training to be in the Marines on an obstacle course and found something enjoyable about it. She didn't go into the Marines but she did find something that she loves to do.
The story goes on as Erin completes Mud Runs, Spartan races, and Ironmans. She eventually faces a conflict that could prevent her from competing. Aside from her struggle, she has her mind set on completing an Ultra Beast, one of the hardest obstacle races of all time. Along the way, Erin meets people that make her journey more pleasant. Will her conflict keep her from accomplishing the Ultra Beast?
My favorite aspect of the book was Erin's enthusiasm and motivation about being her best. Her writing style gets people excited about racing. She also explained things in detail for people who didn't know much about obstacle racing, like me. I can't say there was anything I disliked about this book because I'm interested in the topic and it was entertaining.

If one is interested in running of any form, they should definitely consider this book. It's uplifting and heartwarming. This book can be found in a library or online.
