After reading some of the "Readings on Stephen King" by The Greenhaven Press Literary Companion to Contemporary Authors. I now know the importance and significance of Stephen King.
Stephen Edwin King was born in Portland, ME, on September 21, 1947. King got his writing start when he found a cache of his Dads old books. Kings Dad had himself been a failed writer.
Kings Dad mostly wrote about horror and fantasy which most likely inspired him to do this genre of writing. King graduated from the University of Maine Orno in 1970. He is probably one of the most famous graduate of the University of Maine Orno.
Being a writer has its perks, especially money. King got $2,500 for Carrie in 1974 and was asking $17 million for Bag of Bones. I would really like to read more of Stephen King because his books seem really interesting and i have heard nothing bad about him.
