This is a really lame title

 For kids who want to land a career as a big leaguer dream every day and night to follow the same foot steps as Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig, and Ted Williams. You hear the 60,000 fans chant your name as the stadium erupts for you to make a big play, but in reality all you can hear are your real biggest fans, your parents. Michael arroyo a flame throwing 12 year old cuban pitcher dreams to one day have the center of attention on any big league pitchers mound, firing fastball to strike out his opponents. The only problem he faces, the orphan boy doesn't have his parents around to support him.


Michael's day to day life is living with the fact that his father led his family escape out of cuba and he was only left with his older brother Carlos. Both were able to stay very close as they both live in a foster care home, but the fear have is if social services find out about their situation, they will either be forced to be separated into different foster care homes or getting deported back to Cuba.
Baseball, family, and passion are Michael's 3 biggest words to live by everyday in the Bronx, with his brother carlos by his side to support him will help him one day get his family back together. In order to do that Michael plans to strive to be a successful baseball athlete to one day be the center of attention, a nobody to a somebody. Mike Lupica portrays that there is more to baseball itself. If any family or individual is struggling to find their image as a person, this book will inspire readers to look beyond the bigger picture of life as their is hope out there for anyone.
