Horrible title

By Someone who will not get credit

The book 'City of Bones' by Cassandra Clare is a fantasy, young adult novel about a young girl, only fifteen at the time, Clary whose mother gets kidnapped. Clary, who had always thought she was normal is thrown into the world of the shadowhunters, this is where she meets and befriends a guy named Jace. Now going along with any teen novel they succumb to feelings and cave into their affections for each other, which ultimately gets more than a few people hurt. In the end, they end up saving her mother who had been taken by her ex, Clary's father.

This book was very easy to read and contained no language that couldn't be easily interpreted with the imagery that surrounded it. The characters, themselves were very deep and had layers of character, which is important in a book. Just when you thought you knew one character they go off and completely change your mind. This is a good thing for someone who reads easily and is a natural for the written word but o others it could be complicated. The author used a wide array of creatures in here, including, but not limited to, Nephilim, hellhounds, demons and angels.

This book will thrill you and then kill you with how it ends. It is almost insane how Clare decides to end it, it then it picks right back up in the sequel, City of Ashes. This book is definitely one that will have the reader of the edge of their seat, I would most definitely recommend it.
