Another book review with a horrible title

Claire de Lune translates into a simple message from French to English… it means Claire of the Moon. Although it is oddly worded it describes this book perfectly especially since the main character is a young girl named Claire. An awkward young girl managing her life as she comes of the age of 16, the book starts off at a backyard part home to Claire and her mom. This birthday was going to change everything for her; she had no idea of this though.  As a basic high school girl, which at this time she still thought she was she focused on basic things, such as boys and friends.

Christine Johnson, the author of this book did a very good job at describing the troubles of a young girl who is quite troubled herself. Her title of this book fits this profile genre very well, it literally fits in with the plot twist into this storyline.                                                                                                                                       

This young girl has a rude awakening after her 16^th birthday, Claire was not a normal girl in fact she is quite paranormal. Who to tell her better about her changes than the pack leader herself, she also turns out to be Claire's mother. Claire is now not only battling her family changes but she is also the new proud flirt and girlfriend to the all-popular Matthew; the soccer god of high school.  Unfortunately the new life that Claire is going to live has to be a secret and it's hard when a rogue paranormal decides to start killing up their small town.

A novel such as this is considered to be a young adult and a paranormal, which seems to fit the novel very well.  The story line and dialog is very well put and the vocabulary fits the characters and their ages very well. The character of Claire's mother was very well put, she portrayed me as a very secretive hard- hearted mother. Tough love was definitely her motto.  The chapters were well put together and the twists and turns in the book were bone chilling.

This book is great for anyone seeking a paranormal thriller in their lives. A novel like this allows you to enter the world that seems so normal on the inside yet so crazy on the outside. The pack will make you wish you could be a part of this world. You can find this novel in any bookstore or even online.
