Looking for Alaska or Answers?

By Josh B.

This book is a serious book that deals with some tough issues. It is about a high school student named Miles Halter he moves to a new private school. He meets new friends but the most interesting one is Alaska Young. She's funny, logical, and pretty. Miles and his new friends do a various of illegal and rule breaking on campus.

The book starts off slow but it pick up speed and gets to more intense topics at it goes on. It was a good read it left me with a lot of questions but other than that it was a really good read and I recommend it to you and your friends if you're into teen drama and excitement.

What I've learned from this book is that you should keep your friends close and that at any moment they can disappear. In the book I was confused at most of the points I had to assume most of the things that would be coming up. The book was predictable.  In the middle of the book you could tell that something was going to go bad with Alaska drinking and her crying than it happens. The book hits the climax and then it's interesting seeing how people react and look for clues.
