The winner of the Printz Honor Award and the author of four novels , K. L. Going, wrote a unique novel called "King of the Screwups". Liam Gellar goes through a hard time dealing with a verbally abusing dad and the peers at his new school.
This story follows the son of a successful CEO and a famous fashion model, Liam Geller, who was considered "Mr Popularity". His dad gets sick of his screwups and his reckless behavior that he kicks him out of their home and he soon moves in in a trailer with Uncle Pete, a gay Glam Rocker, in New York. He soons deals with building a new reputation, figuring out what he wants in the future, and finding out the truth about his family.
I absolutely loved this book. It was a coming-of-age story beautifully put together. Liam Gellar had trouble with relationships and friendships and I believe many people can relate to it. I highly recommend this book.
