Hit Counts will leave you on the edge of your seat!

By Sarah P.
Arlo and Lloyd are two high school boys and Lloyd is a football player for the school. Arlo loves football and follows his brother, Lloyd, on the school team. His dad supports his decision to play football, but his mom on the other hand, is concerned about the sport's dangers that she keeps her own information on concussions in a separate file.

Lloyd ends up quitting the football team as Arlo is determined to get faster and stronger. Lloyd enters a rough patch in his life as Arlo becomes the star of the football team, but it starts to leave his coaches and his girlfriend concerned for his health. Even after being removed from his high school football team because of his "Hit Count", he still continues to play football and refuses to face how football is affecting his body and brain.
I liked this novel because I am interested in sports and reading about them and I like when a book leaves you wondering what's going to happen next. If you are interested in a book like this then I would highly recommend reading this novel. If you could care less for football but still are interested in sports then I would recommend you read a different novel.
