Ask Me, What You Want to Know

By. Kaitlyn A.

Kimberly Pauley's young adult fiction novel, Ask Me, is a story about a teenage girl who finds herself in the mainstream of a murder mystery.

Aria Morse is just a normal teenage girl, or so she seems. Aria is special, she has is blessed with the legacy of prophecy. But could this be a curse? She doesn't know how to keep her mouth closed, ask her anything and she spurts out everything. To handle with the thought of possibly ruining everything for herself she decides to go into hiding, that is until he best friend Jade Price goes missing. This disappearing act has sparked up a lot of questions being asked. Aria and everyone else is depending on Aria to find out all the questions being asked and discover as to where Jade could be, but every step closer to the truth there is always a set back and someone waiting just around the corner.
Pauley's writing is a good page-turner, she seems to like to keep her readers in question but also involve some humor as well. The character development is very detailed and strong with also some mystery to them, which keeps the reader in confusion. There is many different genres included like, mystery, romance, and action. The beginning of the book is a little confusing and hard to grasp around the concept but as the reading goes on it gets a lot more interesting.
This is the first time reading a novel by Pauley and I was very pleased. At the beginning it was difficult to continue reading but I am very happy I did. Pauley also has other readings that I will definitely be intrigued to read, you all should absolutely check her out as well.
