Is Blood Thick?

By Nolan L.

The book Blood is Thicker is just one out of the several novels in the series Bluford High. The main character in this story is a young boy named Hakeem Randall. He is stuck in a bad part of his life right now and doesn't know what to do anymore. What's happening in his life gets worse and worse

Hakeem was living a normal life in California until he finds out his father is sick. This devastated Hakeem but it gets even worse. Hakeem also finds out that he has to move to Detroit to go live with his uncle. Hakeem moving from California to Detroit is a big change to Hakeem so it is going to be hard for him to get used to it. If you thought that the bad events were over you are wrong because it gets even worse.
Hakeem is already devastated because of all the events happening right now in his life but he finds out that he has to share a room with his moody cousin Savon. Hakeem and Savon have always been very close childhood friends but Savon became very moody and pensive. Hakeem and Savon always get into arguments and sometimes they lead to fights. It's like a war between them too.
Paul Langan & D. M. Blackwell are two very intelligent and skilled authors and I think you should try reading this book. I have read several other books besides this one in the Bluford High series. They are all easy and fun to read and I think you would enjoy them. Some of Bluford Highs other books are called The Bully, Until We Meet Again, Brothers In Arms. There are many more books than those ones.
I hope you reading this book review will make you want to at least try to read one of Bluford Highs books. All in all, i really enjoyed this book and I enjoyed all of their other books. You won't be the only one reading these books because I will also be reading more and more of the Bluford High series. This book deserves a five-star rating in my opinion and I hope you think the same.
