Travel Team was a sports novel written by award winning author Mike Lupica. It is about a young boy named Danny Walker who is cut from his travel basketball team because he is short. So in response to this he forms his own team out of the other rejects from the basketball team. This book was actually based off the author's own experiences of his son being rejected from his home team. The author Mike Lupica, wrote many other books than this one that have received many rewards and have became best sellers. He started out as an columnist who wrote reviews for stories and books. But later on he started to write sports novels and write for many sports magazines such as ESPN the magazine.

When it comes to the story there was a lot of good parts but not a lot of bad ones. Some of the good things about the book was the story. It was an interesting story that had me reading more at a time. I like how the author uses actual life experiences in his stories, I think that it makes them much better Because it helps us understand the story more. There were some things about the book that could have been better. To start I think that it got a little boring at parts and that some parts contained parts that could have been more interesting. But other than that this was a really good book that had a great story.

So now comes the big question, would I recommend this book to others. Well my answer to that question would be yes. I do think that anyone could enjoy this book especially fans of sports novels. I also think that people would enjoy his many other books and stories.
