The Proper Way To Write

The Book On Writing by Paula LaRocque is explained by the title. It teaches you how to write to the best of your ability. It teaches you most of the stuff that Mr.Greene teaches in our class. It also has many topics that Mr.Greene never fully went over, such as getting straight to the point,  cutting prepositions, using active voice, and more. The genre of the book is self help, and it is a good one at that. It immediately gets to the point, and starts teaching you from the get go.

Overall I really liked this book. Everything seemed great, very well written, and organized. The main thing I did not like about the book was that it did not encompass much beyond the basics, so if you have the basics grasped, you should probably find another book to read. Otherwise this book was very good, I used it when I was writing my speech to make it more interesting, and it got me in the finals(for our class). The book is too long for the amount of information it gives, an is very ironic, it gives advice on how to cut down, yet it is over 200 pages long.

In conclusion I do in fact recommend this book, It taught me a lot and I have applied it an it indeed does work. There are very few faults to it, it is and extremely popular book, and it is also very cheap. There is absolutely no reason as to why you should not get this book. Go to amazon and buy this book now!
