What will she remember?

By Mackenzie B
"The Memory Jar" by Elissa Jeanine Hoole is a realistic fiction book. Hoole has written only two other books, "Kiss the Morning Star" and "Sometimes Never Sometimes Always". "The Memory Jar" is about a girl, named Taylor, who gets into a snowmobile accident with her boyfriend, Scott. Ever since, she can't remember much about the accident.

Taylor's only 17 and still in high school. Her boyfriend, however, just started college. After dating for almost two years, there was a freak accident. It happened the night Scott proposed, coming back from the island they always liked to sneak off to. Taylor can't remember much about the accident and she doesn't know what Scott will remember once he wakes up from his coma. Will he remember that she's pregnant? Or that he proposed?
Overall, "The Memory Jar" was a wonderful book. I thought the plot and the storyline was very well written. The way the book is split up is a little different than most. Most books have chapters, this book still has chapters, but is written with "then" and "now" as the chapter names. Most books are just chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. Most of the "then" chapters are memories of Taylor and her life. I liked this because it gave background information of these characters, which strengthens this book.
I would definitely recommend all readers to read "The Memory Jar" by Elissa Janine Hoole. I am new to this author but this book is definitely a book I would make time to read. I will also be reading other books by this author. I recommend reading this book it has a great storyline and is very well written.
