The book I decided to read is called Monument 14 Sky On Fire. It is written by Emmy Laybourne and is the second book in the series. The first book is called Monument 14 and the third in the series is called Monument 14 Savage Drift. This book's genre is young adult fiction.
Because of chemical weapon spills and other disasters brothers Dean and Alex with another twelve people have to survive. Being trapped in a superstore and having been attacked many times alex and some other kids head out on a thrilling adventure to Denver national airport to get to safety. Dean and and his crush Astrid and others stay at the superstore hoping that their hiding place doesn't get breached again.
The air having different effects on people by their blood type makes it so they have to wear face masks. This makes their travel to the airport very dangerous and they have many setbacks as well as Dean at the superstore. It gives you the suspense you need to wonder if they will make it there.
This book was very thrilling for me because of all the unexpected setbacks in the story and the wondering if they will live through this disaster or not. The dialogue was a bit confusing sometimes, switching back from Alex's view and Deans. It was definitely one of the better reads though. You should read this book because of how it keeps you reading and how interesting it is.
