Giant Days: Leaves a Giant Impression.

By Christopher O

"Giant Days" is the second in a series of graphic novels that tells the story of our three primary characters Esther, Daisy and Susan. Admittedly I had the unfortunate pleasure of reading this book without reading the first before hand. Either way I understand the basic jist of the situation their in.

The book is more a collection of short stories comprised in chronological order. But it's basically one big drama/sitcom of these three college students and the awkward situations they find themselves in. from relationships, to beliefs, to personality these stories make you feel like you've been there before even when you probably haven't. With each girl having a separate personality and their own situation to deal with each time this book makes each character likable in their own way.
This book is a graphic novel and I love it because of it. the characters reaction and the way they look is usually 50% of the story. It allows each reader to see the characters different reactions to things that sometimes regular stories leave out, or can't describe. From the slight way characters hair look when they are freaking out or their posture. This book takes advantage of every way to tell the story visually.
The story is great and I believe you should read this series because this book while short made my day for each sentence I read. So I do suggest you read this book granted you understand the more adult jokes.
