The Crazy Life of a Vet

Tby Kelli A.

Dr. Nick Trout wrote about how hard it is to be a full time Veterinary surgeon in his autobiography Tell Me Where It Hurts. Dr. Trout shows the story of one of his busiest days from start to finish, while mixing in some interesting stories from his career.

Many animals that have went to see Dr. Trout for help were described in great detail in the story. Dr. Trout shows his passion for animals of all kinds as he writes about a day at work with the animals that come and go from his office. Each surgery performed is described in such details it allows you to learn about the surgeries that go one each day and what Dr. Trout has learned through out the years.

This autobiography is a great way of reading about the day in the life of someone with a passion for animals. Anyone with a passion for animals will love reading about Dr. Trout's daily life working, and all the animals that come in are shown so well in their personality you will love them just as Dr. Trout does. After reading this, I plan on looking more into veterinary work as I share the same passion for animals.
