This book review lacks a clever title

By Coryn Flavin

Jandy Nelson has tops down written the best book I have ever read.  I'll Give You the Sun gives the point of view of two different characters, switching off every chapter. This book is colorful through words which seems evidently impossible. Twins Noah and Jude, both of their love stories combine to make an ingenious novel. Noah has an attraction to Brian, the kid who lives across the street who only comes on vacations. Their story has breathtaking twists and turns involving girls, popularity, and things that Noah will regret forever. Art gets Noah through everything, anything that happens he immediately has to draw a masterpiece.

As it goes on to a new chapter the narration switches to Jude, a popular girl until a fatal tragedy that nobody wants happens to the Sweetwine family. The author Jandy Nelson has the brilliant creativity to write this book like no other. When the book is in Noah's point of view he is 13-14 years old. When the chapter is narrated by Jude, the twins are 16 years old. While you are reading imagine each chapter switching off as Noah's narration being before tragedy, and Jude's is after tragedy.
Jude's love story is very unique and filled with endless emotion. After the tragedy the only way Jude could get through to a special person was by making art. It seemed that every clay artwork she made a ghost tries to breaks it down and the work becomes a mess. Jude finds this man, a man that can help her with her sculptures. Jude needs to make this statue so no ghost can break it down, even if the ghost needs to get through to Jude. This man lives with a college bad boy who Jude is tempted by every time he's in the room. With Jude's mother and grandmother always by her side, in a special way, who knows what little things can lead to.
I absolutely loved this book. I have never felt so mentally teared apart yet so happy and pulled together. Jandy Nelson gets emotions rolling like no other with constant ups and downs so you are never bored. With this New York BestSellers's rare outline it's almost a must to never put it down. Right as something huge and nerve racking or something heart spoken and sweet happens it will switch to a new character. It's like Jandy tricks us into needing to read the whole book at once. It is absolutely incredible. The way she puts colors and art into words is something only a person with raw talent can do. The descriptions of every event makes you feel like you are in that moment, wishing you could give every character a hug right then and there.
I recommend this book 110%. Art-wiz or not any teenager would enjoy this book tremendously. I think everybody should read this book because everything about it is truly breathtaking. The logic, the way every part of the book even little things all work together to form a written masterpiece. It's incredible. If you end up reading this book, remember every single detail because the way things work out, it's almost like the whole book has pieces of a puzzle and at the end everything comes together to make a beautiful picture. With this book portraying art, love, and jealousy you will never ever want to put it down.
You can find this book almost anywhere that sells or checks out fairly new books for the teenage age group.
