A Tale of Dragons -Rosie's book review

I have been reading a series of Dragon Codices. The first and foremost book is called Red Dragon Codex by R.D. Henham. She has also created Bronze Dragon Codex and Black Dragon Codex. The Dragon Codices series represents a genre of fantasy with the presence of dragons, magic, and mythical creatures that comes only from the imagination. The Red Dragon Codex begins with the evil Red Dragon. It tells of evil plans and mystery of this murderous beast that wishes to destroy an enemy dragon. Once the dragon's plan is set, three humans set out on a long, hard adventure filled with love, care, betrayal, and forgiveness.

Personally, I really liked the book and idea of dragons having certain personalities depending on their scale color. The plot was interesting and unlike a few warlock and vampire books, it kept me reading and wondering what was going to happen next. With the fantasy and lore it adds, you continue to guess what is about to happen. What might have not worked for me was the names. Some were hard to even pronounce. Another thing was some of the transitions. They were fairly choppy during transitions and at times the point of view of the character would change unexpectedly. But it becomes easy to find where the character is and what is going on.

All in all, this book was a really good read. If someone is looking for a good fantasy series with dragons and adventure, then this series is for you. Full of action and wonder, the book will almost suck the reader in and keep the pages turning. If you're looking for something to read casually during a plane ride or a car drive, this will help drive away the boredom. Wondering where you can find this book? Look for it in bookstores or your library.
