Seeing Ghosts?

By Quenten F.
I am reviewing the book Forever Odd by Daniel Koontz. He's written other books such as Odd Thomas, Intensity, and The Eyes Of Darkness. This book represents the horror genre but is a lighter type of it. The book is about a man named Odd Thomas who has the ability to see ghosts and must save his friend who has been taken. It is the second book in a series, and the first book in this series is called Odd Thomas.

My favorite part of this would have to be where Odd goes into the old casino to save his friend and is confronted by a woman. He tricks her into angering a poltergeist who ends up attacking not only her but her guards as well. I was so impressed by the use of his resources and surroundings in this part. There wasn't much that I didn't like about the book but I did dislike when Odd is traveling through the sewer system and finds one of his friends captors already killed. I was disappointed that it wouldn't come down to a final confrontation with all of the captors.
I think that readers should definitely search out this book, but you would have to read the first in the series of course. If you are a fan of horror or action packed books you should look for it at a local library or bookstore.
