I'm Starving for the Hunger Games

By Aiden D

The Hunger Games was an action and drama book that was extremely electrifying and exciting. The book was written by Suzanne Collins, and she was inspired to write this story because of watching T.V. She was watching a live coverage of a war and switching to a show with people battling in a show and she got the idea for the amazing book called The Hunger Games.

The book wrote mainly about 2 people, out of the 24 who were selected to battle in an arena. They were required to fight to the death in the arena so that they can be crowned victor. The people were selected at random and  were required to fight for the entertainment of the people in the 12 districts to watch. They would watch those people fight and have a lot of fun doing so. The people in the arena had to face so many problems other than fighting those other candidates. The game maker in hunger games called Seneca Crane was allowed to put in obstacles that the people in the arena had to overcome. The winner was never supposed to enter the arena again, but they had to win the hunger games.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. One of the reasons that I really enjoyed this book is because it was very suspenseful and intense. Another reason I liked the book is because it was interesting and it had many different things that made it a good book. For example, it had action and romance. These two genres complimented each other really well throughout the story. The storyline of this book was well written and it was an amazing read.
Overall this book was absolutely great and I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys reading books consisting of  action and intensity. It was a lot of fun to read but I would definitely recommend it to someone who is in middle school or highschool. The reason is because some of the things in the book is violent and some things are not appropriate for younger kids. There is also some vocabulary that could be difficult for many students and it would be a hard book for them to understand and therefore they would not enjoy it as much as a person that is mature would. Other than that I think this is a great book to read for students and I totally recommend it to all students.
