The book I picked out is called The Maze Runner. It is the first in its series and i'm looking forward to reading the other books. They're called The Scorch trials, The death cure, The Kill Order, and The Fever Code. They were written by James Dashner. The genre of this book is science fiction.
As the main character Thomas awakes from a dark old elevator he is lifted to the surface of the glade. He remembers nothing from his past as do the others in the glade. The glade is where the rest of the people were sent. They are enclosed by big skyscraping walls that move and configure to construct a maze. A selected few from the glade try and find a way out through the maze by making a map of it. Those people are given the name of runners, thomas is one of them. As Thomas figures out more things about the maze the more weird it gets.
The Maze Runner got me to really think about how things in the story would turn out and how it happened. The dialogue was clear which made it a much better read. I recommend this book because of how it is different than other books and how it keeps you engaged with the story.
