This review hath not a title

By Cath C.

William Goldman is the author of "The Princess Bride" which is a tale about love and high adventure. He has written many exciting and thrilling novels such as, The Temple of God and Soldier In The Rain. Other than books, Goldman also wrote many screenplays as another one of his hobbies.

The story of The Princess Bride has "Buttercup" starring as its main character. Buttercup lives on a farm with her parents, horse, and Westley who is their farm boy. She is noted to be one of the world's twenty most beautiful women despite her tomboyish appearance. Buttercup was chosen to be the "princess bride" in the story and is forced to marry Prince Humperdinck who is the prince of Florian. She then realizes that she is deeply in love with Westley which then leads to more surprises in the later chapters of the story.
The Princess Bride is a neatly wrote out story and was glad I took the time to read it. I really enjoyed how the dialog of the story was interesting and didn't drag on any conversations it flowed very nicely. The only thing that I could think of that I wish wasn't different is the appropriate amount of humor that was spread throughout the whole story.
I have never read any of William Goldman's novels before and I must say I can't wait to start reading them. The Princess Bride is also a movie based on this novel so if i were you go ahead and get a jump start and read the book before the movie so you can compare and contrast the things that happened in the story. I really recommend this story and hope you get to read it soon!
