An Analysis of Lee Child’s 61 Hours (This had some elements of a critical essay)

                In 61 Hours Lee child excels by describing the thrilling and anxious moment during the Book. By Child's Cliff hanger style of thrilling action it keeps the readers hooked. Throughout the book Child keeps Reacher's Character consistent with his confident, arrogant yet likeable attitude.



            61 hours is the story of when Reacher manages to get a ride with a group of elders on a tour bus. A horrifying snowstorm catches them when the group passes through South Dakota. Unfortunately there is an accident and they are held up for a couple of days. An old lady is under police protection, due to stand trial as a witness to a drug deal in court. But there is a group of deadly killers after this women and it's up to Reacher to help keep the lady alive long enough to stand trial.

            The Major themes of the book appears from Reachers fight to save the old lady and let her stand trial. One major theme throughout the book is Heroism, during the book Jack reacher finds himself in the shoes of a hero by having to save the old lady and kill off the enemies. Reacher reveals his military Intelligence background while helping the local police department with the drug cartel run in.

            Overall 61 Hours was a great book, tons of action and fighting scenes with death her and there, the end wants you to keep reading with a great cliffhanger at the end of the book.
