The book The Call of the Wild is a good book and i would definitely recommend it for someone else to read. The book is about a dog named Buck, Buck was a dog that a lived a great life on a ranch in California until one day he was stolen and sold to a man that used all his dogs as sled dogs. Buck progressively gets to a strong/wild stage where he is forced to fight other dogs in order to become the leader of the pack. The owners Buck had were horrible people and did nothing but treat their dogs like complete crap. One day a man named Thornton rescued Buck and treated Buck just as a dog should be treated. Thornton died shortly after he rescued Buck and he had to learn and experience how to fend for himself and become a leader in the wild.
I thought the best part of the book was Bucks unconditional love for his master. People now a days are cruel to animals so if people were capable of having the kind of relationship Buck and his master had that would be amazing. A dog and his owner should always have a good relationship. The worst part about the book is when the dog gets beat by his owner after he is sold because no dog ever deserves to get beaten.
Jack London is a great author and i would read more books by him. His books are very well put together and easy to understand. The only book i have read by him is The Call of the Wild but while I was reading the book it really drew my attention and i got interested in the book. The book was a little upsetting because Bucks owners beat and hurt him but overall the book itself was great!
