You'll be Running to Read Maze Runner

by Josh R.

I have read the book Maze Runner by James Dashner. This thrilling Sci-Fi book is about the adventure of a sixteen year old boy, Thomas. Throughout the novel Thomas finds himself in constant struggle with not only his surroundings, but with other people as well. Life for Thomas is not easy. Trapped in this place he calls the Glade, with fellow Gladers, Thomas must find a way to escape. Through constant horrors and drama Thomas fights through with some deep and special friends. This book is part of a four part series consisting of The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure, and The Kill Order. Other series written by Dashner include the Mortality Doctrine series, the 13th Reality series, and two books in the Infinity Ring series.

This book was a fantastic read. I sat there for hours on end captivated by the in depth plot development, as well as characters that relate to you. This novel had just the right pace throughout the book, slowing down when needed and speeding up just as quickly. Despite some dramatic and graphic scenes the book remained interesting to me without ever a feeling of closing the pages. The characters were fluent and talked to each other realistically. Their emotions seemed to be just like the average day person, making it enjoyable and relate-able.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who asks. It seems to suit to all point of views consisting of action, drama, horror, comedy, and much more. This book will have you reading for hours, hooked until the end. You can find this book at local libraries in the young adult section, or even in your school library. Copies of the book are also sold at local book stores, such as Barnes and Nobles.
