Dome's Dilemna

By Quenten F.
I am reviewing the book Under the Dome by Stephen King. He has written other books such as Carrie, It, and The Shining. This book represents the genre of horror is a fairly intense type of it. The book is about the city of Chester's Mill, Maine which has been encompassed by an enormous dome, cutting them off from the rest of the world. Everyone in the city as well as society begins to unfold.

My favorite part of the book would probably be where the author explains vividly all of the destruction caused by the dropping of the dome. It shows that the city itself and the people within it are not safe from the all powerful force of this dome. My least favorite part would definitely have to be where the Chief's pacemaker explodes once he goes into close proximity of the dome because it ended his life so quickly into the book and he seemed to have such an influential position in the city. He probably would have also changed the course of the rest of the book.
People who like to read should definitely search for this book at a local library or bookstore. It is rather long but if you are a fan of horror and social tendencies then I really think that this book would be loved.
