Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen Book (Light on critical assessment, Big Question)

By Vanessa O.

The Raft is about a girl who goes to her aunt's house for the summer. Her aunt had to go away for a little but she stayed at her aunt's house. She gets her nose pierced and goes back to the house. But something happens while she's walking back. She sprints back to the house. She didn't tell her aunt what happened so she wouldn't make her worried. Her aunt had to travel somewhere so she sent the girl home.

Her aunt bought her the plane ticket. While she is on the plane she met someone. They became friends and talked. But something went wrong with the plane.
The plane crashed and landed in the water. The girl was gonna drown but then her friend saved her. He put her on a raft and let her rest.
When she woke up they were in the middle of nowhere she saw her friend and thought he was fine. She let him rest too but he was sleeping for a very long time. She checked his bag and the only thing in there was a first aid kit a flashlight and skittles. She wanted to eat the skittles but they were his and she didn't wanna be disrespectful so she put them back. She shook him and tried to wake him up but he wouldn't wake up. She knew he was dead so she threw his body off of the raft and let it float in the water. She finally found an island but her raft crashed in some rocks and she fell off the raft and hit her head and passed out. She woke up the next day on the sand with the water splashing all over her. It was hard but she had to survive with just a pack of skittles a flashlight and a first aid kit.
The Raft is a good story. I liked it and I feel like it was interesting. To me Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen writes good books. They're very interesting but I liked this one the best because you could learn a lot of lessons from this book.
