Good, read his other books first (NICE!)

By Dev. P
Coming out with books every year, author Rick Riordan has been an all time favorite. Writing books about Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology have been favorites for him. Riordan's new book, The Hidden Oracle is book one of his new series. The Hidden Oracle is about how the Greek God: Apollo, has been turned into a mortal for his "crimes" he had done back on Olympus.

Punished by Zeus is the last thing you want to happen. Apollo had angered Zeus and was thrown on Earth as a normal teenage boy. None of his powers remain with him. All that's left is his memories of being a god. Servicing a demigod was the only way to obtain free from this. Apollo had found Meg McCaffrey as his demigod and served her on.
Arriving into Camp Half-Blood had been their only choice. Finding out about the mystery of the Oracle had been the last piece of the puzzle of their problems. The only question was: "Who would go and solve the mystery?". Trying to get Zeus to end his mortality, Apollo decides to take the risk. As Meg and Apollo make their way across their journey, they counter many monsters and gods which have a grudge against Apollo.
I have always been a fan of Riordan's famous book series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and The Heroes of Olympus. However, if someone tries to read this book as their first Riordan series, they might have some trouble identifying the references he makes to his other books. A background of Greek mythology would really help in understanding the whole concept of the Oracle of Delphi.
I have read and enjoyed all of Riordan's books and would recommend them to you. They can really teach you about mythology in a fun and creative way. I would suggest anyone of you to check out his other books and series.
