the princess bride

By Kayla B.

This book overall is good for anyone to read. It's mostly about two "lovers," Buttercup and Westley who live on a farm. But then Westley leaves the farm, while he was away word was sent to Buttercup that Westley was murdered. Because Buttercups "lover" had died she made a promise to never love anyone again. That's when Prince Humperdinck comes into the story. As part of the royal family when the King gets dies or decided that they aren't healthy enough to rule anymore he steps down, which now means that they need a new leader, usually the prince. In this scene "Prince Humperdinck." To be the new King he needs to marry and that's when he notices Buttercups beauty and strides to marry her. Buttercup has no choice but to marry him. At this point Westley is found to not be dead but ran away from pirates after him. So when it's time for the bride "Buttercup" to walk down the aisle Wesltey comes in to save the day. And they lived happily ever after.

It sounds more confusing than it actually is but if you've seen the movie it's primarily the same thing but with more details. This book is good for all ages also, from about middle school on in my opinion. Not to mention it has a little action/ mystery, fantasy and romance. Another thing that I like is that it isn't a long book so for people who don't enjoy reading it's perfect because it doesn't take long to read. So I definitely recommend this book to anyone.
