This book is a very interesting fiction that takes place in a prison built for children who need to be taught not to do things that are illegal. But one 14 year old kid named Alex was a thief. Alex and his best friend named Toby went on a job. They looked throughout the whole house for something valuable. But as Alex is upstairs, he hears Toby screaming. From behind the door, a man in a black suit and a gas mask caught Alex, and he figured out that the house was just a trap to catch them. But the men in the black suits and gas masks killed Toby to frame Alex so that they have a reason to bring Alex into the prison, A.K.A, The Furnace.
The Furnace is an underground prison, there is only one way in, and no way out. As Alex gets assigned to a cell, he meets his cell mate, Donovan. He also makes another friend, and his name is Zee. Together, they will plan escape.
