The Ugly Life of Cadavers

By Kevin S.
The author Mary Roach made this book completely weird but it was really interesting. She made the book weird by talking about dead people and how they are floppy and etc. This author is really weird and I am not thinking of reading another of her books again.

The main character in this book is Mary Roach. Her adventure starts by attending a facial anatomy and facelift refresher course, where surgeons practices new techniques on human cadavers.  Roach visits a gross anatomy on California where she attends to a memorial for the lab's unnamed cadavers and she is impressed how surgeons have respect on cadavers. She notes that in the early days of  medicine many surgeons were disrespectful to cadavers.
Next she visits a University of Tennessee to observe research on decay of human bodies, where she see's  many cadavers and learns how decay grows and that it can't be stopped . Meanwhile at the university, Roach watches how cadavers are used in studies. She saw that  cadavers were used to improve car safety . After she met an examiner who investigated a flight crash . There the examiner tells the story of what happened just before the plane crashed.
I was pretty disgusted but I really like the book because it was really interesting to learn about cadavers. I highly recommend this book to people that want to know more about what happens after death.
