Supernatural

by: Manasa J.
The book Shadowland is from the "Mediator" Series by Meg Cabot. It is an enticing supernatural story with a serie of plot twists that will keep you on your feet. From ghosts to priests you will encounter a variety of astounding events.

Shadowland is about a girl named Suzy who has just moved from New York to a suburban town in Northern California. The reason behind this is that her mom remarried so Suzy was forced to leave her one friend behind and move across the country, where she would now have three brothers around her age. Suzy is a very special girl because she has a 'gift' she can see and speak to ghosts. Her job is to solve their last problem which will ultimately send them to the afterlife. In this new city she meets a stubborn violent ghost that does a lot of damage. She also finds a priest, who has the same gift as her. She is shocked when she meets him because she has never met anyone like her. Throughout the story she finds new love, reckless ghosts, and forms lifelong friendships.
This is a great book that I could not put down, it was entertaining in every possible way. I think my favorite part of this novel was when Suzy met the priest, I think it was a life changing moment in her life because it was the first time she ever met anyone like herself. I think she learned a lot about herself and her gift. I know that later in the series they will become very good friends.
I would recommend this book to every young adult, it is by far my favorite. Every single detail in this novel is so enticing that you will never put it down.
