Killer Meow

By Kelli A.

Author Rita Mae Brown enjoys combining mystery with animals as seen by her book Murdered She Meowed. She combines them perfectly as Tucker the corgi and Miss Murphy the cat help solve the mystery of the killer of the tracks. Rita Mae Brown has written plenty of books that combine her love of mystery and cats.

Tucker and Miss Murphy are a cat and dog pair who get along most of the time. As a series of connected murders go on, they realize that their humans need their help despite lack of communication. They find help from the other animals in the barn and Pusskin, the fat cat who lives next door.

This was the first book by Rita Mae Brown I've read and I really enjoyed it. Although many characters were introduced throughout the story, the main characters were done greatly and had great personalities. It was a bit confusing as it always changed scenes, but it was interesting seeing what different characters were up to throughout the story.

I enjoyed reading Murdered She Meowed, and I'm hoping to get a chance to read Rita Mae Brown's earlier work. Her love for cats and mystery has interested me, and it may interest you too
