This should have had a clever title but ...

By Razz A.

Ender's Game is a book written in third person  about a boy, named Ender,  who is a genius on Earth and is recruited to go fight strategically in a war against aliens as a counter attack from when they tried to take over Earth, which nearly wiped out the entire human population. He goes through various trainings and gets promoted by going through different schoolings provided by the government. Reading this novel there are some pros like how you connect with the character and then the cons  where reading  parts of the book seemed a tad unorganized.

There are some pros in the book is that the author makes the readers connect  with the character's emotional pain and stress by when he accidentally killed the boys who started a fight with him over power and jealousy. It was obvious he did not want them to die by his sorrow and guilt. Another pro would be the simplicity of reading it. It was well written and easy to follow with little confusion.
There were some cons in this story for example; how when reading parts of the book I had to go back and reread what was going on because it did not make sense.  Another con was the fact that the antagonist, Peter is his brother even though you knew that from the start. They set up the book where the sister is an angel and Peter is the devil and Ender is placed in the middle of the two. This scenario is a cliché to the entire book and just ruins it.
Reading this novel there are some pros like how you connect with the character and then the cons  where reading  parts of the book seemed a tad unorganized. Even though it is not a possibility in real life today it may have been considered back in the 1977's when it was published. Ender's Game is a good book overall to read during spare time.
