Hey Mr. Greene,

Recently I've moved onto my new college campus in Rochester with a good friend of mine from Nashua. Because we're both going into computer programming in some capacity we decided to work on a project together.

The project we created was called PyPoetry and it is a Twitter bot who will automatically generate and post Haikus. https://twitter.com/PyPoetry. I thought you might enjoy reading a few of them. Anyway, I probably need to stop putting off reading my homework and just get to it now.

This book is about a girl who is anorexic, everyone believes that she is happy and full of life, but she actually is struggling with self love and a eating disorder. She eats less and self harms, she pretends like everything's okay and that she is very happy, but when no one's around, she breaks down, self harms and makes herself throw up just to "lose weight". This book changed my perspective on mental illness disorders, it's so sad i read it and it basically affected me. I felt so bad i even skipped a meal or two, not because of my body weight, because i felt bad that she did it daily, just to feel good, and stronger.

The Last Song is a story and movie about a seventeen year old girl Ronnie Miller, who is rebellious, and spends the summer with her father, who she hasn't seen since she was young because her parents got a divorce. Ronnie is annoyed and mad at her mother for making her spend the whole summer with her father, in North Carolina. Instead of spending it with her friends and family in New York.

Last year in High School, and one suicide makes it a tough senior year. Four bullies, one target. Who's to blame? A girl named Leslie is bullied and abused for years by her classmates. She finally gave up and let them win, and killed herself. Her bullies are now dealing with the consequences of Leslie's suicide. Leslie wasn't well known or anything, she only had one close friend and his name is Jake. Jake will sometimes defend her and will try to cheer her up sometimes.

Mike Lupica is one of the most well known writers today. A few of his books such as Travel Team, Million Dollar Throw, the and Miracle on 49th Street I have enjoyed reading. A book I recently read by him that I've enjoyed is Fast Break. Fast Break is a fiction book about a boy who is living on his own because his mother died, and because he was abandoned by his mother's boyfriend. He is all by himself at the age of 12 with a goal of getting out of this struggle. The only family he has are his friends and the basketball court behind the projects in North Carolina Hills. Knowing he has no guardian Jayson does whatever he can to not be sent to foster care.

Looking For Alaska Is a book about a guy Miles Halter Who leaves his home in Florida to attend a prep school called Culver Creek for his junior year of high school. After arriving he meets his roommate, Chip "The Colonel" Martin. The Colonel decides to give Miles a nickname and calls him Pudge.  Takumi Hikohito and Alaska Young are some of the Colonel's friends.

"The Selection" is a book about a girl named America Singer and her journey as she competes to become the princess of prince Maxon. She has to compete against 35 other girls who want the crown, and the prince. America is pushed by her family and boyfriend Aspen to participate in the selection and at first wants no part in it. When the selection first starts she has no idea if she will get picked by the prince. For America it means leaving her boyfriend and her family which she does not want to do. Fighting for a crown in a fierce competition which she does not want.
